Take Four is a group of well-known musicians in South Africa who started performing together in 2022. The group consist of four women who have collaborated in different settings as colleagues. Through these interactions they came to share a special bond as friends which led to the formation of this ensemble. Their performances are characterised by this palpable feeling of joy which they experience on and off stage and which they want to share with their audiences.
The Take Four Piano Quartet will present the following programme at the Music Conservatory of North-West University:
W.A Mozart - Piano Quartet in E - flat major, K 493
Gabriel Fauré - Piano Quartet no. 1 in c minor, Opus 15
The Fauré perfomance forms part of the centenary commemoration of Fauré's death in 1924.
The members of Take Four are Zanta Hofmeyr - violin, Jeanne-Louise Moolman - viola, Susan Mouton - cello and Elna van der Merwe - piano.
