This concert will honour the musical tradition with which Universiteitsoord has become synonymous. The former organists, Prof. Chris Lamprecht and Prof. Wim Viljoen established a great legacy which is today continued by Dr.Isabelle van Rensburg. After 59 years of being played by professionals and students, the organ was in great need of repair. Pipe Organ Specialists under the leadership of Archie Devere, Jan Zielman and advised by Prof. Albert Troskie undertook the huge job of restoring the instrument.
