I recently discovered that my violin is in fact not only a copy of a Guarnerius del Gesu but indeed a copy of the ' CANNON' that Paganini played on, which is on display in the Palazzo Tursi in Genoa, Italy!

The Messiah in eleven languages

I've just spent an afternoon playing the Messiah by Händel in a church in Orlando West, Soweto. This was the version known as the 'South African Messiah' , translated by Mr Michael Masote into every one of the eleven official languages of South Africa.

My first encounter with Tai Chi took place eleven years ago. I was looking for a form of exercise that would feel right for my own body, personality and psyche. I have found Tai Chi to be a perfect exercise for musicians for several reasons.
